3 couples travelling together. Only had one night in Zihuatanejo and wanted a place close to restaurants and with a view. The Irma was a good choice. Rooms all had a nice view and the setting by the pool was an excellent place to have our first margarita and enjoy the fabulous view. As noted the bathroom door is more... More

Just returned from a driving trip that included 2 days at the Irma Hotel. Great location, lots of rooms with a view but also lots of stairs. Good pools and lots of loungers with pads and did I mention the view again. Happy hour from 5 to 7 was a good deal. Snacks are okay or very light meal, but... More

We have been back to Hotel Irma four times so we obviously like it. Great place for a family get together. Rooms vary from those on floor 4-6 with private balcony facing the ocean, others open on to communal patios also with ocean views, or a few are in corners with more space but no view. Each couple in our... More

This is our second stay at the Irma. We enjoy the views, the close walk into town, and this year the availability of pool furniture. Very relaxing. Love Issac, he is so pleasant. He walks around to let people know that is is happy hour and checks to make sure if anyone needs anything. On the other hand, front desk... More

We stayed for 5 days around Christmas, 2011. The hotel has a nice location, it's an easy walk to many things in the downtown area. The hotel is older, but seems well kept up. The room was clean, and the maid staff did a terrific job. It's not high end, but it is not priced as such, either. It's a... More

We stayed here in spring 2011, after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, and it was the right choice. We had been in Troncones earlier and had just one night in Zihua. Fine location for walking around town, and longer walk to the beach to the south, but still very pleasant. Nice to have a restaurant on site. Tip for next... More

We stayed in Hotel Irma for one day after spending a week at one of the luxury resorts nearby, so it likely pales in comparison. If not for that, I may have rated it higher. The hotel is located close to the top of a steep hill in Playa Madera hotel zone. Our room opened onto a wide terrace with... More

We stayed at the Irma over Christmas 2010, first time in Zihua. The first day I was a little disappointed with the simplicity of the place, but the next day I really began to appreciate its charm. The simply furnished rooms have fabulous views, the pool is wonderful, the restaurant is nice and not overpriced and the whole hotel is... More

The wonderful view, nice pools, and good service make this a great place to stay. Rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable. As others have noted, the location, with easy access to Playa Ropa, Play Madera, and town, is great. Free wifi in lobby and dining room. More

This was our first time in Zihaut and we were thrilled with staying with Hotel Irma. Not much to complain about this place, it wasn't OMG amazing but it was a great place to stay. We stayed on the 4th floor which there are a lot of stairs but we are somewhat in shape and had no problem with a... More
