I really recommend staying in Bucerias - we've stayed several times over the past 3 years, and really enjoyed the Casa Blanca (stayed a week in June 2002). There are 6 apartments in 2 stories, we were on the top floor and had a great ocean view, and a terrace where we ate breakfast each day and visited with other guests at night. The apartment had a small kitchen, combination dining/living room, 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with 2 twins) and 2 bathrooms. French doors in back opened to a small balcony overlooking the lawn below. Very quiet. The kitchen was great for fixing breakfast, heating up leftovers, and cooking shrimp (which can be bought fesh very reasonably in Bucerias). Oue family of 3 had plenty of room - the family next door had SEVEN staying in it, perhaps a bit crowded but they all had a place to sleep. The property is a long narrow strip facing the ocean.
