For the rate I paid, I did not expect a 5 diamonds resort, however the room was dirty, lots of painting details, needs a lot of maintenance. SERVICE: If you are not "gringo", you are invisible for them. I was really hungry and waited for about 20 minutes to get a waiter, and another 20 to get my breakfast... Are... More

We have been traveling to PVR twice a year for 8 years now. We love it. Our annual trip to PVR in April was full of surprises. Two trip to the ER with help from everyone at Blue Chairs was appreciated. The room was typical; clean with questionable water temps. but comfortable. Remember you are in Mexico right across the... I stayed here for about 4 days in mid-February. Here's the positives, negatives, and mixed from my view. Positive: The staff are very friendly (and gay friendly) and helpful. There's a beach associated with the hotel that is convenient. It's not too far of a walk from the main downtown areas. The room was clean and comfortable. The price is... More

The Blue Chairs is all about location and the very friendly staff. You can't get a better location and the staff are not just friendly, but they are fun. They're also very kind and caring. The rooms are bare bones and the water only works about 50% of the time (apparently this is just a "Mexico" thing). The food is... More

Very helpful and friendly staff. Mostly male clients. Safe for lesbian travelers. This resort is best for those who want to party. The music from the roof top bar fills the entire hotel from 3 - 10:30 pm. Don't count on much sleep until after 10:30 pm. No complimentary coffee in the morning. Great beds. Choose a two-bed room for... More

Just returned from the drag show on the near-rooftop at Blue Chairs Resort. At the bar I ordered a beer for 30 pesos, and was told to pay the woman-cashier to my left. I gave her a 50 peso bill, and she gave me back two 5 peso coins, instead of two 10 peso coins. Ten peso coins are easily... More

Not an upscale, high end hotel. They don't claim to be in the category of a Hyatt-type hotel which is exactly what we like and need when traveling. The hotel was clean, staff attentive, we felt safe, and we were close to everything! The best part: a trusted concierge (Erika) who arranged any excursion we wanted and patiently answered our... We had a wonderful experience in PV and at Blue Chairs! We were concerned when we booked our "partial ocean view" room that we would see a sliver of the beach through our bathroom window, but this wasn't the case. The hotel is ON the beach and our balcony overlooked the crashing waves- beautiful! Boris and Salvador at the front... More

We choose to stay at the Blue Chairs once again this year. There are many things that I enjoy about Blue Chairs, then there are some areas where they fall flat. Pros: Helpful, friendly staff! Right on the beach! Private beach area with restaurant, cocktail service and private security. Comfortable beds. Although spotty and sometimes out of order, they have... More
