Just returned from a week at Quinta Real. Rooms very well decorated and spacious. Views just incredible and the entire property was QUIET. Yes, with all inclusives farther down the beach - this resort was quiet. The internet was an extra charge (when will all resorts stop that nuisance charge) and was inconsistent - it worked well somedays and was... More

My husband and I went to a wedding at Huatulco this December and stayed at the "Suite Presidencial" (Presidential Suite) of this Hotel. I have no words to describe it, it was THE BEST... From the moment we entered the hotel, we were received with some coconut ice cream which was water mouth delicious. The “Suite Presidencial” is way far... More

We had looked forward to our visit here but were downcast upon arrival. The coconut ice cream upon arrival was great and our room was ready despite our early arrival at noon. However the entire property needs a massive renovation. We had a roof leak in our bathroom, a big leak through the light fixture in the beach bathroom, rotted... More

Huatulco is a resort town planned by the Mexican government. Unlike Cancun, it never really took off which, in my opinion, is a blessing. You have all the infrastructure but still have a small town feel. There are 9 bays and 36 beaches. The better hotels are concentrated on Tangalunda Bay and of the 4 or 5 there, Quinta Real... More

Why Huatulco is unknown to Americans i don't know--it is one of the most beautiful settings I have visited, especially form the Quinta Real. This small exclusive hotel set on a hillside overlooking the bay is off the charts beautiful. It isn't inexpensive but it was worth the money. We stayed 4 and a half days. The staff, the food,... This is a shabby old three star, not a five star. Built 15 years ago, it shows signs of little investment since that time. Fittings don't work well, repainting is rough, and the cracks, metaphorical and real, are plain to see. The lazy, lackadaisical, who-cares manana atmosphere reflects inattentive, inexpert, incompetent management and little concern with quality. Food is very... More

First, a disclaimer - I stayed at the Club Villas at the Quinta Real. The Villas are the Residence Club component of the hotel - they are located on hotel grounds and share the hotel amenities. The Villas are designed for longer stays. I did see the hotel rooms while there. They are comparably outfitted - just smaller. Second, if... More

Let me begin by saying we had a fabulous time and mention the staff that made this possible. Look for them as they will be of great help. Hector (Concierge) makes almost anything happen if you would like to book an excursion talk with him as he will save you a ton of money and grief versus dealing with beach... More

I had high expectations for the Quinta Real Huatulco and I have been quite disappointed. First, we didn't get a king bed as requested. Second, the food was of very low quality (worst nachos ever) and the prices were totally exaggerated. For example, my girlfriend likes having ''molletes" for breakfast. They were priced at 185 pesos in the hotel, and... More
