Despite efforts from the lady taking care of the hostel, she was a really nice person, the place is well below average hostels. The room was incredibly hot at night ,lot of noise from the streets.

I'm british and La casa del barrio is undoubtedly the best place I've stayed in mexico. The hostel is clean and in a super awesome location. Franklin my host has been so super great and very generous, I'd Definitely recommend to anyone coming to monterrey!

I have stayed many times in this cozy hostel right in the centre of Monterrey (2 minute walk from the best museum in the city). The service is magnificent thanks to its owners, JJ and Anny, who are always there to help to organize a walking tour, or a day-trip to some of the nature wonders around Monterrey.
