I considered the Days Inn for the reasonable price but then found hotel Del Cobre nearby at 10th & Progresso. A 3 star hotel. Only $16 night single $18 night for two. Nothing fancy but clean, basic and secure. No microwave or fridge or ice machine. An older building but good appearance inside. Quite and not very crowded.Ice is cheap at convience stores or wal-mart @ 60 pesos a bag.Has a small fenced in parking lot behing the hotel which is locked at night. Stayed on 3rd floor. Has elevator and stairs. Full size bed not fancy but comfortable. Has general temperature control vented in. Accepts US dollars but better to pay with pesos. Hotel has restaurant next door. Also other eating places very close walk. South end of downtown area. Not very close to the downtown stores which is several blocks more north. I would definitly use this place again. more
