This hotel is very nice! I travel to Mexico at least once a week and stay and have never tried here before. Considering staying in a crappy overpriced unsafe hotel on the other side of the border, this is really nice! I have tried Camino (ok but internet always goes out, etc), Lucerna (not bad but for the price not... more

We had to stay in TJ because of passport problems and the Pueblo Amigo was recommended. The room was clean but basic. The bed was hard and extremely uncomfortable, blankets were very strange fabric, lighting in the room was dark and couldn't be adjusted, the heat wasn't working, the bathroom door woudn't close and the water pressure in shower was... more

My husband and I went to Tijuana for just a getaway from routine. After crossing the border the first building we saw was the Pueblo Amigo Hotel. I was greeted by the valet parking, and later on by the bellman. their behavior was so gracious, kind and friendly. (plus good english speaking skills, love that!) So I found a different... more

I had the misfortune to end in this hotel some weeks ago. Despite the fact that its located next to "Pueblo Amigo" (think of tourist trap meets bars and little stores), the location is awful as its so close to the border that the traffic and lines to the border station reach the main entrance of the hotel and the... more

Even if it's considered one of the best hotels in Tijuana, I just found it totally unattractive. Cold... humid... greay... I just didn't like it. Rooms are spaceful but.... but... something is missing. more

No minibar or fridge full of goodies in suites. There are no vending machines. No 24 hour room service. Ensure you stock some form of snack or drink for off hours or youll be in trouble. You can buy from the hotel minimart (very small) or hit the American style supermarket outside the hotel in the Pueblo Amigo shopping arena.... more

This "business class" hotel started off its life as a Holiday Inn (but a very nice Holiday Inn), but broke its chain affiliations a few years ago and is now owned by Caliente, which operates race/sports books in many cities in Mexico. This change in ownership and affilation still leads to some odd ransom-note like combinations in signs, logos, and... more
