Stayed for two nights in December 2011 as a couple to celebrate the wife's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time. We went a little mad and booked the honeymoon suite which was very spacious, with a surprise bouquet of flowers courtesy of the staff! The setting is absolutely lovely; the grounds out the rear of the hotel are perfect... More

Elegent public rooms with comfy settes in front of log fires. Just what we were looking for for a weekend bolthole. The pool is a bnus - small but big enough for short laps. We went before breakfasty and had it to ourselves. All staff encountered were firendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good and even got the approval... More

Stayed 2 nights for a short break. found hotel to be a very cosy country house hotel. staff were first class, both efficient and friendly. The restaurant was excellent. The menu was very good although it didn't change during our stay, but the selection on offer was first class. Would stay again and definitely recommend this hotel. More

Booked a groupon deal for 2 nights B&B and one evening meal, when I rang to book only one night was available for dinner, I commented that was fine as that night was our wedding anniversary. When we arrived the check in was smooth, 4 poster room nice ( not keen on outlook) by the bed was an anniversary card-... More

I have now been to Branston Hall twice with a group of colleagues from work. Both times we got an overnight stay, breakfast and evening dinner package. It was excellent value, though we had to pay supplements for a number of things on the menu and pay for drinks. The venue is lovely, and grounds beautiful. It has a nice... More

How lovely on a cold, wet evening to arrive at this old place with such alot of character. Entering via the big old door we were welcomed by the sight of a huge log fire and very comfy, cosy lounges. Sense of faded glory with a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was a bit small... More

Absolutely fantastic 2 day break. I have stayed at several hotels of this standard, usually during golf breaks. This particular occasion it was a romantic couple of days and I would highly recommend Branston Hall. I did upgrade to a larger room but was well worth it. More

If you read the history of this hotel (in the room info) you will discover that it was owned by the local authority until the 80's. Much of the local authority feel still remains. However they were unable to destroy the building's character completely and much of it remains, especially the views. The hotel makes a good base for a... More

With a Groupon voucher for 2 nights with dinner on the first night, I booked and was told no standard rooms were available as the hotel was very busy (It was!), so I accepted an upgrade at a very reasonable supplement, and was not at all disappointed with the large room with 'fourposter' bed and a lovely bathroom. We didn't... More

Very nice Hotel. We had a few issues with the room (see tips on choosing a room).Breakfast had good offerings. Dinner at the hotel was VERY nice. Nice area. Enjoyed the city.Saw the local copy of the Magna Carta. They were starting to decorate for Christmas and I 'm sure it will be lovely for the holidays. So go and enjoy! More
