We stayed for one night last weekend and had a really good nights sleep after a lovely meal in the restaurant. Cant comment on the breakfast as we didnt have it, but the room itself was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in room one, and the only problem we had was with the door key... Just a note of caution before booking this hotel. The rooms are located in former stable blocks and as such have NO windows apart from a small sky light. So if you suffer form claustrophobia I would not recommend. Also the lock in the door to room 1 is dodgy it took me a while to get out!! The room... More

We are sorry that this guest was not happy with our facilities. Our web site explains that the rooms are compact but have a roof window with blinds and high vaulted ceilings. The extractor fan in the bathroom only comes on when the bathroom is used and has a one minute run on period. It is not excessively noisy but... More

Very friendly staff, very well kept beer, great food. Clean, tidy and comfy room. The room was in a converted barn, so was a 'cosy' size, but was fine for 1 person. My only complaint was no wi-fi in the rooms, but no problem from the bar. I would stay again. More

My brother, niece and I stayed at the Plume of Feathers for four nights last week on a trip from America to visit my dad. We took all three rooms. We had a wonderful time. The rooms were cosy and clean and were toasty warm. I slept like a log. We had a family dinner with some friends one night.... More

My husband and I have been going to The Plume of Feathers for over 10 years now and have always had a great experience. A couple of weeks ago after parents evening we had a bar meal and the fish was very fresh and a very generous portion. Whilst on trip advisor i happened to see some of the negative... More

We were in the area for a family birthday and were recommended to stay here by some friends who live in the village. OK, it's not the Four Seasons Hotel (situated 3 miles down the road) but it's one quarter of the price to stay at the Plume of Feathers. The pub is several hundred years old and is what... More

My room was booked by my boss online, as my stay was part of a business trip. This is a very pretty, period public house situated in a tiny village with only one shop (that unfortunately shuts at lunchtime on Wednesdays). The pub itself seems nice, and they serve a selection of resonably priced meals and bar snacks. I was... More

This guest was booked in by his boss on the lunchtime of his arrival by phone, not via Late Rooms. We are not on the Late Rooms web site. On his arrival his was rude to a member of staff because he could not get the television working (it was not turned on!) and complained that breakfast was not being... More

I booked this accomodation thinking the reviews were fine. How wrong was I! If you don't mind staying in a coverted stable, then that's fine. A pokey room with a tiny skylight as a window. How 2 people could stay in these rooms is beyond me, not even enough room for a bedside cabinet as the bed is pushed up... More
