The hotel grounds were unkept. The front sign had rotted out of the ground and was propped against a tree. There were broken chairs, hoses, empty plastic containers, and debri all around the property. They really could have cleaned things up a bit! There was an old rusting truck in the back that looked like it had been there for... More

The Seashell Inn on Harbor Island is a great place for a quiet getaway! I was very pleased to see my company had booked us here, I am a business traveler and we got a great taste of a simple vacation. If you want to meet some great people, you cannot go wrong with the family that owns and operates... More

We stayed at the Baretta's Seashell Inn and I loved it and my kids play with owners kid so I didn't have to worry about them and they gave us a good price of $115.00 for a standard room or $150.00 room that included bacon egg and toast or pancakes, french toast. that was great because we didn't have to go... We booked this place through the internet.... As soon as we got there it was a disappointment. The place is not kept up. The first room we were taken to was with twin beds and I made the booking for myself and my husband for a king bed. The twin bed room was dark and dingy and we should have... More

We just spent 4 nights there. The room is big (2 dble beds) and in general pretty clean although a couple of gaps in the bathroom and no plug stoppers gave lots of room for bugs and roaches to come in. The furnishings are quite basic but fine and you do have a fridge which is handy, also there is... More

Excellent time there! The staff were very attentive to all our needs, and overall very friendly and pleasant people. the actual hotel is a 2 minute walk from Pink Sands Beach so we would walk out the hotel and be on the lovely pink sand in a matter of minutes. Our trip was last minute and we were soooooooo happy... More

Harbour Island really doesn't have many hotels and we didn't book before we arrived. We hired a golf cart when we got off the fast ferry from Nassau and drove around trying to find somewhere. Everywhere we found was over $300 per night some up to $400. We tried 5-6 places and then stumbled upon Seashell. The rooms were only... More

What a vacation? Definitely will be back. If you are looking for a real island experience than this is the place for you. The Major family will bend over backwards if that is what you need them to do to create a tranquil vacation. Caleb keep my Goombay punch cold as I'll be back soon. More

Had to spend one night on Harbour Island for a wedding and wanted a cheap hotel, so this looked like a good deal at $130 as Harbour Island is really expensive. The web site made it look pretty decent for a cheap hotel. When we arrived, I regretted the choice immediately. Check in was pretty laid back - the lady... More

This place was inviting, lush, landscaped gardens. Ample space to relax on a lounge chair under a tree. A direct path to the beach. Though the place was not oceanfront, it didn't matter as you could still hear the faint wash of the waves in the distance. Harbour Island was a place to behold, beautiful and decadent but also quirky.... More
