We stayed here for 2 nights in July. The reviews were so good that we were looking forward to a real treat but we were a bit disappointed. The room and en-suite were certainly large but spoiled by mould in the shower , flaking paint on the ceiling and a very soft bed. Dinner was good and breakfast was fine... more

Frankly, this hotel is perfect. The hotel itself is a beautiful redbrick country house set within stunning grounds and gardens. It is traditionally decorated, but has some nice modern touches such as 'monsoon' showers in the bathrooms. Lovely hotel to celebrate our first anniversary. The food was the best we ever tasted and our superior room was huge. Our two dogs were also made welcome with a map for walks around the hotel. Nice staff and beautiful gardens. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. more
