For us this was not what we expected, the room was bare and offered none of the amenities you would normally expect. We feel we paid a 4/5 star price for 2 star accommodation. We paid for en suite – but it only had a bath no shower. Its only 2 lots of guests at any time so don’t expect... more
We stayed at Orchardton Hall whilst travelling around the UK recently and received a warm and friendly welcome. The Hall is spacious and comfortable and located in beautiful surrounding countryside. There's plenty to do in the local area for those who wish to but we just wanted to have a relaxing weekend and make the most of the elegant surroundings.... more
I wanted somewhere quiet where I could take the dog and enjoy the countryside. This building can be seen from the main road, but it is up an access track over half a mile, and is surrounded by fields, so is very quiet (there is also a route down to a shell beach). We have just returned from a an Idyllic few days at Orchardton Hall. We took along our (inherited) Cairn Terrier who has not been used to socialising with other dogs. We ALL had a ball. This overnight stay is not one I would repeat. The lock on the door from our room into the corridor broke so we couldn't get out and people couldn't get in.
