Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel itself was easy to find, though not if you rely on the actual postal address!! Which comes up as Castle Douglas. The hotel is actually in a small village called St Johns of Dalry. Its a friendly wee village where the locals all say hi and morning and there are many local characters frequent the pub at night. It was entertaining and comical!!.
The owners have not yet had the hotel a year but they were incredibley friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic as was the choice of wine.
OIn arrival we were allocated a room which had an amazing view but was freezing and there was only a small dimplex heater to try to heat the room. After being there over an hour it was still Freezing.
