Just returned from the Westin last night. I don't understaand the mixed reviews that I had read before going to freeport. My wife and I found the service to be excellent and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Way Over Priced. Poor Service. Boring food cooked unprofessionally. Having been on the island a week, my party had soon discovered that Cuisine is not one of the reasons to come o the Bahamas. I got married at the Westin Our Lucaya and had about 65 guests. The Westin hotel is great. Right on a nice beach, fun pools, swim-up bar. There are a lot of restaurants at the hotel and at the Marketplace across the street. Rooms were very nice and we were upgraded to a huge suite since we were getting married.... more

We received a great deal from the Westin after abandoning the crumbling, horrific Xanadu Beach Resort. The pool areas were wonderful, the beach fun and well-kept.
