Stayed here for 2 nights for work. Hotel was fairly cold stayed in one of the rooms away from main hotel.
didn't eat but colleges did said it was not very good asked for toast got bread that wasn't toasted
room was cheap so for a budget trip to merthyr it would be ok

6 of us had a meal here sat nov 5 it was excellent the only down side was £ 15 for a bottle of wine a bit steep when you can buy 3 for £10 in asda. would we go again yes deffinately the service was great and very friendly.

Taps missing, toilets leaking, mouldy bread for breakfast......don't stay here.

The new owners have put the chalet room rate up to £70
At the same time- there are no longer any packs of biscuits left in the rooms.
The breakfast has been reduced to 2 stark options "vegetarian" or "non-vegetarian".There is no longer breakfast fruit- and no longer any alternative choices- such as kippers or poached haddock.

A rather lower standard B and B close to Brecon Beacons. If you need comfort get something other, but the standard is acceptable taking under price/service ratio. Clean but in need of uprating. Acceptable breakfast.

I stayed there with my husband last wednesday 7th sept.2011 it is very tired and needs a complete refit.
We stayed in one of the chalets out back because if you have a pet (our small yorkie benji) You cannot stay in the main house.

Stayed at this hotel from the 2nd september to the 4th september travelled for business purposes. Check quick, adequate room on the car park back of the hotel.
Room was quire large though old fasionhed but in a quaint way.
Breakfast okish, cooked breakfast was slightly disappointing, staff very friendly, around a 10 minute drive to the breacon beacon.

This used to be a family run hotel but was taken over and, despite the staff's efforts, is now run down with a radiator in my room that couldn't be turned off, a disabled extractor and a no smoking room that is just above where someone smokes and next to the laoding bay so I got woken up at 5.45AM....
