We stayed with our 3 young children. They had the cribs ready when we got there. We went in to Red Hook for food. This is not a hotel and more of a condo resort. There is a place on site to get food and drinks during the day. Make sure you get your food/drinks when you get there to... more

The room was very nicely done, clean, and comfortable. Full kitchen and great views. The resort could use a facelift. It was lacking in just about every amenity. No restaurant, no bar, not even a vending machine if you want a soda or bottle of water. They did have a grill running during the day that sold burgers and drinks... more

Once again, go to the rent by owner sites. Check out the pictures and reviews of the individual units. The Antilles site advertises Sapphire as a resort with amenities, hence some guests disappointment. If you want a full service resort, Sapphire is not the place for you. If you want to be on a great beach with superb snorkeling and...

My husband and I are her, now, with Friends and having a great time! Although there are many disappointments. We'll do GOOD to BAD: The Location is BEAUTIFUL!!! That is part of why we brought here. The Beach is clean and the water warm! We Love Red Hook, Most of the restaurants and the ferry to St Johns. We took... more

Just home from a week stay at Sapphire Beach Resort. We rented directly from an owner (Peter Burke, vrbo #111678). We also rented his small truck. Sam, the property manager picked us up at the airport and brought us back as well. Sam’s an asset to Sapphire Beach Resort. He was informative and I swear, the guy never stopped smiling.... more

Great Beach. Good view of the island of St. John and Tortola. Two brothers islands and Shark Island in the bay. Visit Red Hook for some good food and fun. Rent a Sailboat from West Indian windsurfer. John will take Care of you. Catch the fairy over to St. John and spend the day. Enjoy!! more

We absolutely loved our stay @ Sapphire Beach. As has been mentioned, I strongly suggest renting from a private owner (vrbo.com); I knew exactly what we were getting before we got there. The unit I rented was amazing with a great kitchen. This allowed us to go to Red Hook (2 minute drive) for groceries and cook in the unit.... more

We had traveled there 3 years in a row. Each year the resort was worse then the last. Nothing is being done to upgrade or even keep it nice. 2 years the restaurants were closed for renovations, you couldn't tell the difference, with out letting anyone know. What a dump. more

This resort is in a law suit status and the property and grounds have not been maintained. It is in a very sad state and is just deteriorating. more

The reviewer obviously stayed in one of the units that has not been remodeled. As always I recommend using one of the for rent by owner sites so you can see pictures and read reviews of the individual units. Landscaping is constantly being done. It is true the bars and restaurant are closed, but there is the Banana Cabana between...

We just returned from Sapphire and it was really wonderful. We regret that we did not spend more time at the resort. It was very private at this time of the year. The beach is absolutely the best resort beach on the island. It ranges from a rocky area that is pretty, with waves, to sugar sand beaches. The snorkeling... more

Just a quick review to say that we really loved staying at Sapphire, but we did stay in a privately owned condo which makes all the difference. We knew exactly what we were getting when we made our reservation. From the beaches we snorkled on the island, Sapphire has the most to offer from all sorts of fish to turtles,... more
