I just recently returned from my trip from Trinidad and gotta say I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza very much. Upon arrival they upgraded me to a room on the upper floors that just had been remodeled. The room was much bigger then I am used to from hotels which is nice and makes the stay more comfortable....

Warning! The pile driver was pounding away by the pool area during my stay in September, and I could hear the traffic on Wrightson Road below even though my room was on the 11th floor. Thank god for the curfew, as it was dead quiet from 11pm until 4am.
The lobby area and the elevators are very old and dated....

I don't understand why the rates are so high. Trinidad is in a state of emergency - curfew at night, etc. Not exactly a booming place for tourists, etc. Nonetheless, the hotel is okay. Clean and fine. But not worth such a high rate.
Beds are very hard and rather uncomfortable. Nice to have lots and lots of pillows, however....

The Crowne Plaza in Port of Spain Trinidad, perfect location to move around with all of the hussle and bussle of a very busy city. Comfortable and very nice staff.
