A walk of 5-7 minutes from the docks along the belmont walkway and youll find the Gingerbread hotel on your left side. Nice cafè with very good cakes(try the carrot cake) The restaurant is also a great place to eat breakfast(try the waffles) and several nights a week there is a live band playing, price level ok. We had room... More

Pat Mitchell, the owner, greeted us when we arrived and shepherded us to our second level ocean front room/suite. The large room, complete with a small kitchen and large bathroom, was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of Admiralty Bay right on Belmont walkway which leads right into town. I was so pleased to find that the pictures they... More

For optimal enjoyment and best bang for the buck, book an upstairs room overlooking the Bay. We stayed in early November just as Bequia is gearing for high season. Even at low season, rooms run $190 USD. The upstairs mini suites have georgeous view, small kichen and large bathroom (I'm assuming the rooms below are the same). Our room, #2,... More

Nice place for dinner, but not as relaxed as the rest of Bequia. More

I wish I had enough time and energy to describe the friendliness, warmth, uniqueness, and rare beauty that is Bequia. It was unlike any other place we have been in the Caribbean, and the Gingerbread (stewarded by Pat Mitchell & company) was the crown jewel of our experience. Thanks, Pat. More

Stayed here for work, which was a simple walk from the hotel. Room was more a house with all the necessities required - stove, fridge, toaster, iron, blow dryer and microwave. the beach is 2 minutes walk from your door - depending on how slow you walk. The room was very nice - no A/C though - but there were... More

No, it is not the Hilton or Westin Resort. It is an beautiful elderly hotel right on the water along the Belmont walkway. A little worn but in a way that adds character. This was our 8th trip to Bequia. It is a sleepy little island. Since I first started going there in the early 80's, it has certainly changed... More

The weather was hot and muggy so we opted for a room up the hillside in the annex with air conditioning. Good choice because our friends stayed in a seaside room in the hotel next door and were really bothered by the heat and by the bugs despite the mosquito netting over their bed. Our room was a small efficiency... More

Toured the Grenadines for a month in January and luckily only had to stay here for one night. We had stayed for 8 days at the Village Appts prior to this but they couldnt accomodate us for the extra night so we had to use the Gingerbread at short notice. The room was under the restaurant at the back of... More

unfortuanately the hotel is very tired and somewhat dirty. My husband and I managed to accumalate over 100 bites between us over a 3 day period. The bathroom was smelly and very old, also the kitchen was dirty, even inside the fridge. Apart from that it was fine! Glad to leave and move on to St Lucia. More
