From the start of the this place was brilliant. Quick to reply to my emails and calls about my booking, very helpful about our extra arrangement. As soon as we entered the guest house we where meet by happy faces and tea and cake, which made this a very warm and friendly place to stay at. They helped us pick... More

Our stay at Brynn Elltyd was wonderful in so many ways. First, the basics were done right - the B&B is clean, comfy, and charming with an Everest base camp vibe. Breakfast was delicious and generous – I’d come back for the homemade bread alone. The location was amazing. We used Blaenau Ffestiniog as our base for visiting Conwy, Mt.... More

Fantastic weekend - location couldn't be better, easy access to Beddgelert or Betws-y-Coed and Snowdon for walking. Excellent home cooked breakfasts and evening meals. And a range of environmentally friendly technologies to generate all their own electricity and heat. For an enviromental enthusiast like me, who has worked in Bioenergy for over 9 years it's very refreshing to see it... More

I was very lucky to come to Bryn Elltyd. As soon as I read about them and their philosophy I was excited to visit. My mother, who hates me spending money convinced me to try a cheaper guest house but I think I was lucky that they were all full. I called through to Bryn Elltyd and they even offered... More

Great B&B in north Wales. Rooms are very clean, modern and to a high standard. The owners are very hospitable and very knowledgable about the local area. Great full Welsh breakfasts with home baked bread and a lovely garden with small trails, ducks and birds. More

Four superlatives. First, the setting: snuggled at the foot of the Moelwyns, with a view over Tanygrisiau Reservoir to the front and of the mountain and waterfalls to the back. Second, the hospitality: Celia and John were immensely welcoming and friendly, willing to go the extra mile ever time to make their guests comfortable. Third, the food: fresh baked bread... More

Delicious breakfasts with fresh, homemade bread in the mornings, toasty warm and cozy rooms with comfortable beds... Everything you could want for in a refuge after climbing up Snowdon in gale force winds on a bitter November day... Not to mention the warm hopsitality from John and Celia who shared their local knowledge, gave us daily weather forecasts that were... More

We had a very enjoyable couple of days here in November 2011 to do some walking in the hills and exploring ancient industrial sites and slate quarries. We stayed full board and were very pleased with our room, the food and hospitality of Ceilia & John. We stayed in Moelwyn Mawr room - the room names denote what view you... More

Really recommend this B&B. Comfy, cosy, clean, relaxed with friendly owners. Fab cooked breakfast with home baked bread, good coffee. Dramatic location overlooking reservoir & moelwyn's in front & lovely garden that stretches back in to hillside so great for walking, biking & blaenau's striking scenery. We also had a v good 3 course evening meal. We're already planning to... More

I really recommend this to people that like to travel and like hiking and walking (families, solos, couples). It is such a beautiful place, their house is situated just near the Tanygrisiau Reservoir, so it is flat (around the reservoir) as well as steep. You can also go around the town and go on tours (slates, caves). In the month... More
