We almost cancelled our reservation at St. Tropez after reading other reviews. I'm glad we didn't! This was out 9th trip to St.Martin and we couldn't get into L'Hoste or Palm Court, where we usually stay. We were very pleased with this hotel. It isn't La Samanna, but its nice. My wife and I stayed there about 10-12 years ago. It is on the French side so some distance from the airport. Most of the hotels were on the Dutch side. We had transfer vouchers to get to the hotel but you could tell the driver really didn't want to go there as it wasn't close to the other hotels.... more

We had the best time ever. Slow down to island time and enjoy the hottest beach in the islands. Orient beach was wild. If you can find it on a beach you can find it here. The french staff was frindly and helpful. We have made plans to return. more
