We stayed at the Sonesta Maho Beach resort from Nov 10-17. We booked an all inclusive package directly with the hotel and chose the Premium Ocean View room. The info that we had seen showed that the hotel offered 7-day guests one meal at The Point fine dining restaurant and two meals at nearby restaurants for their “dine around program”.... more

I stayed here from November 7th -14th. What a dump this hotel is......It needs a huge makeover. The staff are lazy and unhelpfull, its like they are doing you a favour to serve you. We recently went , for our first visit but definately not last, to St. Maarten! We were booked at the great Bay resort and had fun there but it was no comparison to the Maho hotel! The rooms were bigger, newly renovated, and the hotel was a much better location , that is if you like to party!! more

The food was excellent, probably the best I’ve had at any all inclusive. The A La Cartes were all fantastic. The pool was clean and the swim up bar well kept and Ramón was always great with our group. The staff was fantastic overall. No complains about anyone, the bartenders were always on top of the drinks and the food... more

okay so the landing was a little scary but other then that everything about this hotel was amazing . The only thing is when we first arrived they tried to give us a room with 2 seperate beds .. lol .. ummm that didnt last very long, we complained and they ended up giving us a fantastic suite for free... more

We did the all-inclusive option which was a great deal. We struggled a little with the dinner buffet but they give you voucher for the local restaurants which worked out great. Nice pool, swim-up bar, good music, clean rooms, good air conditioning, free wireless internet in the lobby. The activities desk was very helpful, too! We had a great time! more

We had a lovely time in St.Maarten. We had no complaints for the resort. The staff at the Sonesta was extremely helpful at all levels from the front desk to the wating staff and supervisors. Travelling with a young child can be challenging at times but, Sharon and Fevry made it so much easier. They were always there to help... more

Put it this way-- the less you depend on the staff and service at the Sonesta Maho, the better your stay will be. With that said, here's the good, the bad, and the ugly: THE GOOD: 1. We went with Air Transat Holidays. Only downside don't pay them for an upgraded room, it is cheaper to pay the hotel when you get there to upgrade. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and check was really fast. The planes taking off and landing were no big deal. The beach while small was nice, but watch the current.... more
