If your looking for a 5 star American Hotel then this is not for you. However if you are looking for something nostalgic, romantic, beautiful and a look at Jamaica outside of the all inclusive resorts. This hotel is vintage and very interesting with alot of history. I loved the hardwood floors and balcony right on top of the ocean.... more

I have read several reviews of the Casablanca Beach Hotel and I ask you people, "Have you traveled much"? I found the CBH wonderful and clean and very nicely situated in Montego Bay. Beautiful mature gardens, cool sofisticated owner and the price was about right and the rooms were charming and CLEAN! I have been to Montego Bay at least... more

I stayed at the Casablanca Beach Hotel in March 1993, when my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We had a massive room and an equally massive balcony right over the sea - it was idyllic. We loved the food, the staff and the attention we received and couldnt fault it at all. What a shame the hotel... more

We stayed at the Casablanca just a few days ago (January 4-11, 2008 )so I have up to date news about it. The Casablanca is the oldest hotel on the Hip Strip, and you can literally feel the history of the place soak into you. Our room was fairly standard, but it had a huge bed, working shower, hot water,... more

This place used to be nice MANY years ago, probably a very elegant place back in the day. Unless you don't mind staying at a Motel 6 then you might be ok staying here. Service was horrible. They only accept cash, which we were not told and had to walk down the street to the ATM. The restaurant was never... more

The Casa Blanca is the best location in Montego Bay. The hotel is undergoing slow refurbishing but has huge rooms and is very elegant, but a little run down. Grand entry way with marble floors. Attached resturant, with over the sea dinnig, is very elegant and affordable. We had a huge room with a huge balcony, overlooking the sea, #8... more

Okay let me have a shot at this. I agree with the "decaying grandure" comment, but it is good enough. For $140 a night we had a large room with a 4 poster king size bed and a shaded balcony with nothing in front of us other than Cuba over 90 miles of open ocean. The bed and dresser appear... more

Well, I must agree with a previous post that said the hotel is not what it was - once upon a time, it was really a grand old place right on the sea for whites only. Dear oh dear. I must say the management was clearly not aware that they are not all that any more, because my three white... more

The Casa Blanca was the first resort built in Jamaica, back in the 1920's. It used to be a world-class, whites-only place. Errol Flynn stayed here in the 1940's. Today it's a shadow of its former self. Work has me travel to Montego Bay every year or so, and I've stayed here several times; it's always in a state of... more

I was looking for a hotel on the hip strip and on the beach, safe and secure with a private oceanview balcony...and i found it!!!! This eclectic hotel is one of jamaicas best kept secret. it has a 1920 decor, nooks and crannies with pleasant surprises all through the property.......the sea-side restaurant is moderately priced and of good quality...excellent service... more
