This is the first time I have wrote a negative review on Trip Advisor. While I do not want to bash the resort I think it is important to point out some of the things that we found to be shortcomings of a 5 star hotel. I only write these to help others decide what they want in a resort.... More

The calabash is the perfect hotel if you like to go away from it all. With only 30 rooms, the hotel is very friendly, very private, with a great relaxing atmosphear and the Rhodes restaurants is excellent and is great value for money if you book up in advance. The gardens are great and it gives a very good sense... More

Lots of great things to say about our stay at Calabash - most are very similar to what you will find in other reviews. Beautiful grounds, great food, wonderful wonderful staff... We can add that we brought our 11 year old twin sons - having been told by the staff in advance phone calls, and from what we could tell... More

We stayed at the Calabash for 2 weeks in April/May 2012. It's a nice hotel in a beautiful, quiet setting with the suites set around a large garden and close to the seafront. The suite was spacious and clean, but the bathroom could have done with some modernising. Having breakfast delivered to your balcony by your housemaid each morning (and... More

This is a long review so I'll summarize. We would stay here again especially if we were in dire need of R&R and we felt we made the right decision by staying in this hotel. This is a place where you'll quite quickly forget what day it is/time it is and we were able to de-stress very quickly. We liked:... More

You may love the chatter and running around of children BUT when you need a Quiet, Relaxing break from them - this is the place for you Breakfast on your own balcony every morning, prepared personally by your housmaid (cooked if you wish), an excellent Beach Bar and good food in the Gary Rhodes Restaurant are all part of it... Sitting in the open fronted restaurant, looking across the well maintained gardens, through the trees, watching the yachts bobbing at their moorings in the turquoise bay - pretty close to my idea of paradise. The Calabash has an old world charm, so serene. Afternoon tea in the bar area and canopes delivered to the room at six were delightful touches.... More

We stayed at the Calabash for 10 nights at the end of April and it certainly surpassed our expectations. This was our first trip to Grenada and certainly would be keen to return to both the Island and the hotel. The service was exceptional, in fact, I don't ever recall receiving a similar level of service from a five star... More

We stayed at the calabash on our honeymoon and loved it - it had a luxurious British feel and being a small hotel guests were made to feel very special. We had a whirlpool suite - with a separate living room and a huge whirlpool bath - which was awesome. The room was perfect - nicely decorated but not ott... More

Stayed at the Calabash for 10 nights. The main positive was that the staff were mostly very attentive and friendly. However, we were very disappointed with the hotel itself. Although the view from our room was pleasant the furnishings were tired and smelt musty. The hotel does not live up to the image presented by the marketing material (for example... More
