Was at this hotel for the 2nd time end of Jan to early Feb. Of course beautiful weather and still not a place for vacation however I was there on business. I still their beds are some of the most comfortable I have had anywhere for vacations or work travel. I tried to take one of the pillows apart to... More

My last stayed at Jaragua was on December 2011, when I was for business in Santo Domingo for six days; it was my fourth time as a guest. There are two levels of staying: Garden or Tower / Main Building. Off the bat, I recommend trying to stay in the Main Building or else where (hopefully, someone had written about... More

Ignore the reviews of these ignorant people below!! If they would spend more time getting to know the Dominican people, their culture, and the beautiful beaches there would be no need to sit in the hotel room and find small things to complain about. There are people in this country who have no running water or electricity and are just... More

My experience at the hotel was not the best. First, because I paid more than some other small hotels in Santo Domingo with best conditions; secondly, because I had troubes to receive guests..The employees are very professional, though! I use to get taxis from outside of the hotel, which charged me more...I met a very friendly and honest taxi driver,... More

The location is good, the service is friendly but it is absolutely no 5star standard. They are now upgrading the hotel and do a lot of reconstruction, that means that it is loud during day. More

I have been visiting the Dominican Repubic for over 25 years and in November 2011, stayed in the Jaragua for the first (and I presume, last) time, based on its prior reputation. How sad I was to enter the lobby and see how much it was in need of a paint job! My husband knew right away I was not... More

I am from the Dominican Republic. The Jaragua Hotel has always been a very important landmark in our capital city. Because of family and friends on the island, I've never had the need to stay in a hotel. But now that I found myself with no home to visit, I decided to stay at the Jaragua for the very first... My room was old and musty smelling. The hotel location was very nice and we had a great time at Champions, which server food and drinks until at least 1am. The Blue bar was a nice place to have drinks outside and the pool was also very nice. It looks like they were setting up to have a concert next... More

This property needs to have a large sum of money to bring it up to a satisfactory standard. At best it is a 2 star property. The rooms have a moldy/mildew smell to them, the windows have mold growing on them, the internet is expensive and breakfast is very average affair. It doess have a nice pool area though with... More
