Highly recommended. In 3 weeks travelling around Cuba, the room I stayed in at Jorge's Casa was the best (better even than my room at Hotel Santa Isabel where I stayed for a few nights). On top of that Jorge and his family are an absolute delight - friendly, warm and hospitable. I certainly hope to stay with them when... More

You couldn't get a better location to stay. Just off the main drag in the Vedado area of Havana, La Rampa, you're positioned perfectly to see the city. It's an easy walk to the Malecon (oceanfront promenade) or to catch a taxi into Habana Vieja. The house is secure and safe and the rooms are clean, though you have to... More

I have to admit my husband and I were a bit anxious going to a "Casa Particular" but the rest of the family felt that "Casas Particulares" was the way to go. My husband and I were so wrong! Jorge and Marisol made us feel part of the famlily soon after we arrived! The rooms were clean, great and confortable... More

We stayed with Jorge and Marisel 06Oct-21Oct2011. First in the small back room, then moved to the large room. The reservations were honored in the most sincere manner. Best shower in Havana, and I have tried quite a few during 12 years visiting the city frequently. Will be happy to return to their home during the next visit. More

My husband and I stayed with Jorge and his family from Oct5-12 what a kind, caring family.I was a bit unsure about staying in a house rather than a resort, but they sure made me feel safe.Jorge and his wife are a fountain of information as to where to eat and what to go see, when to be careful and... my girlfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights in all, and had a really great experience. The whole family made us feel at home, and went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay. Everything in the apartment shows a personal touch. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms extremely comfortable and spotless. You're on a quiet side... More

My boyfriend and I actually travelled here in July 2008. This was an absolute pleasure for us staying here with Jorge and his family. Upon arrival, we were a little unsure about it as it looks like a regular apartment building from the front and of course is a casa, not a hotel. But we were pleasantly surprised when we... More

I have stayed 10 days at Jorge's, and I enjoyed the location and his company. This casa particular is not for fancy tourists or for people looking for hotel like services. However, the rooms are impeccable, bathroom as well, this is a real home and Jorge will make you feel welcome there. More

Being a devoted fan of the Moon Travel Handbook's, written by Christopher Baker, I knew that on one of my visit's to Havana I'd have to stay at his favourite location. And sure enough, his judgement was spot on, and although the room itself didn't have any views as such, the hospitality, warmth, nice breakfasts and interesting conversations I had... More

Don Jorge, Marisel and their daughter Jessica were extremely gracious and helpful in our stay in La Habana. They went out of their way so that we would feel at home and comfortable... even waited for us at ungodly hours at dawn when we had to go to the airport. Their advice was also greatly appreciated about how to behave... More
