Rooms were clean, bathrooms needed improvements.First room we had was a corner-room, with a moldy smell. Power instalation was at 110 Volts; we only had 220 in the bathroom. Staff was polite but distant. Breakfast was good, for cuban standards. Excellent position for exploring the city! More

We returned to Havana for one night and didn't want to pay full-whack at Parque Central or Saratoga and were pleasantly surprised by the Telegrafo. The lobby, bar and restaurant are all very nice and the decor is on the whole more contemporary than the Parque Central. The range of breakfast options is good and when we stayed, was really... More

just be sure to think "I am in CUba, not in a South Florida hotel..." and all is then ok. Of course the internet service is so slow you can watch the grass grow, the food is horrific except for the made to order eggs at breakfast, and everyone- i mean everyone- is a hustler in this part of town... Stayed in the Telegrafo for first 5 nights of our Cuba visit Jan 2012 and found location was ideal for walking around Havana and the main historic sites. Room was good size, comfy bed, plenty of storage space, hot water/shower. Inclusive buffet breakfast good and plentiful but not as much fresh fruit as we had later in our trip. Loved... More

First and foremost, I will throw out there that if you are looking for a 5 star North American standard hotel, you should be looking in the direction of Parque Central or Saratoga. Their lobbies are gorgeous; however, you could be anywhere in the world. It is key to remember that you are in Cuba! The hotel's location was amazing... More

Stayed 3 nights in mid January. Don't stay here if you don't have to. If your budget is low and you have to stay here to save money, save some more money and get a totally different experience by staying at Parque Central or Saratoga. The location is great but the hotel itself is no good. The water pressure in... More

Just returned from Cuba - had 2 nights in the Telegrafo- great central location in the old part of Havana. The room was bigger than our flat - we had a junior suite. Could walk to both art galleries and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. More

The room was huge with 18 foot high ceilings. The windows opened onto the interior courtyard so the room was quiet at night with zero traffic noise. The hotel service was friendly, courteous and very efficient. The American breakfast buffet was excellent and included custom omelets served with live music. The hotel porch is a wonderful place to order drinks... More

While there are few signs of ware and tear the hotel was clean, comfortable, great friendly helpful staff, amazing breakfast and in a really excellent location. I felt safe and comfy. Would stay there again anytime. The a/c wasn't powerful but more than adequate and I was there when it was in the 90F (33C) More

The Telegrafo is a stand-out building on the Parque Central with a bold blue facade. We stayed for four nights on arrival in Havana and have no complaints. The room was clean and a decent size and we were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony facing onto the square which was great for people/car watching. The windows... More
