We stayed here for 7 nights in room 219 overlooking the Prado. The room was worn but very clean. The beds were small but comfortable. We had some initial issues with the room upon check in. The TV didn't work, the fridge didn't work and there was a loud buzzing noise coming from behind the wall. We brought these issues... more

The staff are lovely and standards of service very high. Our room was beautiful, big and light, spotlessly clean. One side looked down the Prado to the sea, the other was over the bar so we could enjoy the live music. The location is great for museums, nightlife and peoplewatching. Breakfast was extremely good, and when we ate in the... more

We paid CAD415 for a twin bedroom which is rather overpriced by international standards. Although the hotel is rated 4 stars, it is more like 2 stars. The cleanliness of the room needs to be improved and patched broken glass on the bathroom window should be replaced. The room also comes with a complimentary live cockroach. The mattresses also need... more

we stayed at the hotel from 27th dec for two nights, having read lots of reviews we thought that we would try it. we were checked into room 102 - it was dark (the window looked out on to a tunnel of aircon units) musty, damp and the bathroom was dirty. the worst bit was the constant loud noise of... more

In a city with little electricity, windows, food, etc the Sevilla was a welcome retreat after 1 week in a casa particular. I'd still suggest staying in a private casa as this is the best way to experience real life in Havana but a few days in a large room with a private bathroom at the Sevilla is a good... more

Take this - and have breakfast on top of the highest building in Havanna (?) with the best view! One of the very few Inner City Hotels, maybe the one and only, with a great pool! Fantastic lobby! Nice staff! We lost our bag with passport, Ipod and money - they found and gave it back!!!! more

I was slightly concerned by a few of the reviews on here, particularly the ones that mentioned cockroaches in the bathroom, how wrong I was, I like the location within reach of the major attraction in the vieja but out of the way of traffic, we had a pleasant stay her, the rooms were very nice and in line with... more

Hotel with outside pool in the centre of Havana! That was pleasant. Personel was not friendly, no smile on the faces. Good breakfast buffet, everything was there. However, not enough cutlery, so wait till the gear used by earlier breakfast guests is cleaned. No place to sit at ease. The lobby is too windy (pleasant in mid summer, but cold... more

We stayed here after being moved from the terrible Ambos Mundos and thought it was absolutely fine. It's not going to be one you write home about but the rooms are clean, spacious and the amenities are outstanding in comparison to other hotels we've seen. The pool is a lovely (if a little noisy) space to chill and sunbath for... more

We spent five days in Havana before heading for the beach and wanted somewhere comfortable, nostalgic and in the centre of things and this hotel was ideal for that! The Mercure Sevilla is situated right next the Granma Memorial and the Museum of Revolution in Havana and just two blocks from Central Park and El Capotolio - the perfect location... more
