having stayed at Hotel telegrafo, an upscale place by Cuban standards, the S. Isabel is a better choice but pricier. Pres. Carter was here, as everyone knows, in 2002. Large rooms with balconies, poorly made mojotes with little rum in them,... located on the Plaza Armas which is very quiet- pedestrians only- and great harbor views from the rooftop bar....
