My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Nora and her family are so welcoming and so helpful with advice from understanding the currency to touring Havana, beaches etc. economically. Located within walking distance to centro Havana. Also close to the Malecon and a bar and restaurant. Breakfasts included a variety of fruits, eggs, bread, coffee & juice -... More

I stayed several days at Nora´s place in november and I loved it. Quickly felt part of the family. The room was spotlessly clean, had private bath, air conditioning and a fan. Streetlife can be observed from the terrace while sipping your breakfast coffee. The hostal is very well located in Havana centro, only a few blocks from the famous... More

Well me and my boyfriend arrived late Saturday night and thought what are we doing. Very scary being dropped off in the middle of the street not knowing what to expect. But it was lovely. Noras mother and son inlaw greated us. Very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely. Everything you needed. Bathroom double and single bed, fridge, safe... More

I started looking at B&Bs 5 days before our departure date and many were booked, I talked to a travel agent and she found a few rooms in the big hotels that were in Vedado, far from where we wanted to be, and the cost varied from $800 to $1200 for 4 nights for one room triple occupancy. 3 days... Nora and family are great honest people! We stayed here for 5 nights in February 2011. The room and bathroom were clean: - double and single beds. I was on the single and had a better sleep than I do at home. - private en suite bathroom. - fan. - air con (we didn't use it as the fan was... More

Nora is a great host. She is a very helpful, sincere, and warm person who tries her best to make the traveler feel comfortable in her country. She got us taxis and arranged it so that we could go to the airport early in the morning and not being ripped off. When we left for Trinidad, Cuba, and also to... More

The casa from Nora (the lady who 'owns') is the perfect place to stay when you just arrived in Habana. As we are talking about a casa particulare don't expect 5 star luxury. You will get a good room with a new badroom for the general Cuban Casa price (25cuc). Nora is very kind and makes you feel very welcome.... More

A friend and I took a 10-day trip to the island this past spring....it was the first time for both of us. I had read a very positive review of La Terraza on a Lonely Planet discussion board and I appreciated that there was a website in English and we were able to book in advance directly with the owner.... Our two weeks in Cuba were AMAZING, and we owe most of that to Nora and Mesa, the owners of this casa particular. Their house is beautiful; very old spanish-style architecture with an outside terrace in the middle of the house. The rooms were perfect and quaint, the food (Nora's sister cooks breakfast, and her daughter the dinner) was delicious,... More

After a long flight and a this place was heavens. Nora and her family are so incredibly kind as our real family, we loved them and the house from a first sight. The breakfasts were just great and huge in a real colonial dinner room with a ceiling high as a sky. The weather wasn't that great and we didn't... More
