Carlita was as kind as ever with us. This is the third time that my wife and I visited Cuba and we decided to visit Carlita's house every morning. We stayed in another 'casa particular' located downstairs, but we used to go up every morning for b'fast. In a nutshell, the b'fast tasted better every morning, Carla and her staff... More

I strongly recommend this place - it was our first time in Habana, and we had reserved a room for 2 days. However, considering how much we loved it there, we chose to expand our stay at Karlita's to the entire trip. People were super friendly and helpful (without ever being annoying) and made us feel like family. The place... More

Karlita and her staff where excellent. The place is very clean and comfortable. All room have air-conditioning and high ceilings. The only set back is the shower, which has very little water pressure. More

Very friendly staffed casa in the Vadedo district of Havanna (that is, a 15 minute/1 USD collectivo taxi ride from the historical center). We had a two person private room. During our 3 night stay we felt safe, the room was clean, and Carlita was - literally - like a "Mama" to us. But despite the "defend socialism" propaganda in... More

This was the first and last casa we stayed at on our trip to Cuba. It was the perfect introduction thanks to Karlita's great advice about where to go and particularly what you should pay - so 2.50 cuc taxi from the casa to parc central, 3cuc return from parc to hotel tropicoco beach etc. The casa is in Vedado... Casa Carlita offers spotless, attractive lodgings and bathroom (only one), superb breakfasts (and dinners too if requested), all at a very reasonable price. The street is typical Havana, within walking distance of a couple of big hotels (e-mail), the best icecream in town, and the Malecon and it has a convenient supply of passing taxis. The rooms have fans, a... More

Casa Karlita provided me with one of the fondest memories out of my many travel experiences. Karlita and all of her associates are amongst the warmest, kindest, most hospitable hosts one could hope to encounter. From the moment I arived to the moment I left, I was treated with the utmost care and respect, and was genuinely made to feel... More

Karlita, Solya, Tanya and Caridad are so lovely, they do their best to make you feeling at home. The breakfast is very good (natural fruit juice, fruits, milk, coffee, bread, eggs, butter and a delicious homemade jam) and they prepare it very early if you need. The Casa is very beautiful and clean, with spacious rooms. There is a great... More

Casa Carlita was recommended by a friend, and we were really happy with our stay here. The rooms are really cute, the lounge has gorgeous little birds and a tiny balcony, Carlita was so lovely and helpful, as were all the staff, and the breakfasts in the morning were massive and delicious! More
