Very luxurious feel and great staff who will provide anything you need at a moments notice. Beach chairs and beds setup for us every morning without request. Calm west coast sea at your footsteps, great scuba area, quiet stretch of beach. Excellent breakfast served every morning on our balcony.
Price was high but we both agreed it was worth every...

Great hotel with 4 suites, all directly on the beach. Relaxed atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. There's no spa, gym or pool, but with a gorgeous beach right in front of you, it's hardly needed!
Each suite has access to the wireless internet, and a (very small), complimentary mini bar.
If you're looking for happy staff, romance, peace and...

We stayed at the Lone Star for two nights and loved it! The staff is fantastic- every request is meet with a smile and an 'of course!'
Despite the restaurant being so close and the music it played at night, we couldn't hear any of it in our room. The acoustics were well planned.
The rooms are well furnished and...

We knew this hotel because of the restaurant, having eaten there a number of times (Sunday Lunch is particularly good) and as we like to stay somewhere different each visit we decided to stay at the hotel.

A big thanks to Debbie and her team at Lonestar who made us feel so welcome. Drinks delivered directly to our deckchairs, amazing views from our balcony. It really felt like this was our exclusive part of the west coast. A wonderful option if you dont fancy the idea of staying at one of those impersonal resorts with 80+ rooms...

We stayed at the Lone Star over American Thanksgiving weekend. It was a great place to rest, relax and do nothing. The room we had was huge with a beautiful covered terrace overlooking the ocean which was only meters away. This turned out to be the biggest bonus as it rained a lot.
Unfortunately as the hotel is so small,...

Went to the Lone Star Hotel for a few days in August. Ended up getting one of the rooms upstairs (Lincoln Room) which was nicer than the rooms downstairs. I also managed to take a look at the two rooms on the lower floor, of which Buick was the nicer room. First off, all of the rooms have very large...
