The room was dark and damp and not particularly inviting (we were in rm 500ish) No towels were provided and was a delay getting these. The food in the restaurant was bland not a lot of taste. Their cash machine on site charges you extra to use (none of the other resorts I stayed at do this I.e edge water)... More

Staff are very friendly and helpful thoughout our stay. I recommend doing the orientation on the first day you are there as they suggest are we felt a little lost the first few hours we were there. Anything you want to do, the staff went out of their way to help. Stayed in a beachfront room which i recommend as... More

We had a great time at the resort, the kids were in the pool all afternoon. We joined them between cocktails and yummy meals. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some renovations happening, but thankfully this didn't seem to be bothering anyone. The meals from the restaurants are all delicious, the varitey at breakfast is... More

We would recommend the resort but if its adults only, the Sanctury is even better. The Sanctury was fabulous. The Activities hut and staff arranging these really made the stay special. It was worth being involved in some of the great range of activities on offer. The only one I would not recommend was the night snorkelling, however the snorkelling available... More

Our garden room had a leaking a/c unit, so was moved to another, near the office. Staff were very courteous and friendly and activities are offered every day. We were fortunate to have paid only a fraction of the price for our accommodation, so were very pleased with the resort. It is a bit "tired" but once you settle into... More

You are required to buy a day pass of $100 per person just to swim there!! It doesnt matter what money you spend there like most of the other resorts on the island that we went too which were great Crown Beach Resort, Pacific Resort, Manuia Resort, Aquarias and Muri Beach Hotel where they welcome you !! We had spent... More

My wife and 2 children (teenage son and daughter) stayed for eight days on the older 'beachfront' unit and couldn't have been happier! Lovely staff (and lovely weather) made the stay so much better. Let's face it, a holiday is based on your mindset of what you want to achieve on the trip, and to us small 'issues' faded into... More

Three nights at the Sanctuary, Rarotongan Beach Resort. The staff were excellent. The rooms were very dark and cave like. The food was satisfactory, but the breakfasts were woeful. Parts of the resort clearly needed maintenance. The lagoon was pretty. I really enjoyed swimming in th lagoon and indeed the pool without screaming kids. Overall 7/10. More

Got married at this resort in 2002. Booked the wedding from Canada and used the resorts wedding planner, Dora to plan it, all via email. We weren't disappointed. We had the best suite, on the beach for our wedding night. Had a beach wedding with a minister, dancers, a Mauri Warrior, champagne, tiki torches & fresh fruit. Loved the Beachfront... More
