Yangmingshan TienLai Spring Resort was a long way out of Taipei City and driving through winding mountain road in thick mist was a challenge. Its weather was misty most of the time and it was raining during our stay, therefore not much we could do except to enjoy the various hot springs which was a good experience. There was only... More

Stayed in this hotel for one night while visiting Taipei. Traveled with family encompassing all adults. The purpose of my visit was to enjoy hot springs in a place where bathing suits are required. About the resort: This is a resort hotel that is located about one hour north of Taipei that houses a set of hot springs for its... More

The rooms is huge, with individual hot spring "tub". 2 king size bed in room is really wonderful! Staffs are generally friendly. Breakfast is acceptable and enough to fill your stomach. The outdoor hot spring pool are nicely landscaped ... but I was disappointed about not finding those flavoured pools as mentioned by them. What turns me off was finding... More

The hotel itself could improve its food and service, but the location is fantastic and the whole variety of spas mean that, as a westerner, you can really try a wide range of temperature and sprays. The food was a bit disappointing, and the buffet would end earlier than advertised. (This seemed to be a common issue all over Taiwan.... More

There is a direct bus going to Tien Lai from Taipei Station. After a 90-minute sleep, you will be there. I stayed in the Japanese style annex for 2 nights. There is a private hotspring bath tub on the balcony. The room is huge and it is good for 4-people. The room is nicely decorated with 2 king- sized beds.... More

Since moving to Taipei I heard a lot regarding hotsprings. I was looking for a place not only with mineral enriched water but a fusion of facilities + nature. I am not a fan of a private tub in the room. This hotel outdoor hotsprings are great for its variety (there is even a pool with a fish pedicure) and... More

Just came back from the Tien Lai Resort and will make some comments for who are interested. 1. It has many outdoor pools with great view and the quality of hot springs (water) is very good. 2. However, the hotel room needs serious renovation, it seemed to be very old and inconvenient. 3. The buffet breakfast/dinner were below average. The... More

Impressive selections of hotspring pools both indoor and outdoor with different flavour added in the pools. This is not those authentic hot spring you may find elsewhere of taiwan but we had a lot of fun there. The whole place is really well-maintained and clean. It's a must to put on swimwear and shower cap. We went there on a... More

This is probably one of the nicest hot spring resorts to stay at in this area. It's a great location overlooking the hills. You won't get the "real" hot springs experience here, but spa world is maintained well. There are over 15 pools you can try out with different smells like green tea, coffee, and flowers. The lover's pools overlook... More

A real top 5 star hotel. Large lobby, huge rooms, the room we stayed is nearly triple the normal size of a twin room you can find in Taipei city. The so-called hot springs are like a water world with around 15 different kinds of pools with smell/function ranging from coffee, "keep-fit", wood, flowers to tea and so on. There... More
