I had travelled with my wife and teenage daughters to Mandarmoni a resort by the sea . You have to drive through the beach for about 5 kms to reach the resort so please check on the high tide times before arriving as otherwise it is quite tricky and you might be stuck for quite some time, The staff are courteous but service is a bit slow . Food served is primarily Bengali Cuisine - the crabs and lobsters which you have to order in advance are superb . Food should be ordered well in advance as otherwise you will be in for a long wait . Since whole of Mandarmani is generator dependent there is no power for 4 hours a day to give releif to the overworked generators . Try to go for a sea facing room as there are pther rooms coming up at the backside along with a swimming pool . Drivers accomodation is atrocious so be prepared to shell out additional money if you have taken one for the trip .
