We love this place. It's a bit rustic, but the prices can't be beat. It's totally worth it. It's a family tradition. We come here every winter. The staff is helpful & friendly, the scenery spectacular. I highly recommend for families. It's a great destination for parents & kids alike. The lodge makes it easy to bring your kids -... More

we left John Muir to come here, bad choice. we were checked in here for about a half hour before we had to leave. the staff was very friendly and helpful but the two rooms we had were another story. the first room had a dirty skillet and spatula under the sink and there is no stove in the room?... We just returned from our annual trip to the Montecito...Although there was no snow, I have to ask...WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS PLACE? I mean this in a good way! Even though we came up for snow, this is one of the best times we have had! I can't imagine how much you have invested in upgrades (furniture, decor,... More

This place is like a neglected camp in a beautiful forest. We booked as a result of the other tripadvisor reviews. Don't do it! Save your cash. Although the room size is generous, we are looking at acoustic ceilings, no closet doors, and wood paneling. Think Brady Brunch. We are not planning on sleeping tonight as we can hear every... More

We spent two nights here and when I booked it i was worried that it was a little too good to be true. Two night here, including ALL meals, cost less than one night in Yosemite! I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised to find the location was great, the food really nice and the staff friendly.... More

This Lodge was a good value if you want to stay in the park and not drive 50 miles back and forth. We started out in Tulare and spent the day touring in Sequoia and stayed here for one night. We weren't put in the main lodge, but were in another building a short distance from the main lodge--called SugarLoaf... More

3rd year here for Sunday until Thurs AM Thanksgiving (we have turkey on Friday)! $159.00 for a family of 5- with meals included!! Definitely rustic, they don't claim to be 5 star. This year they replaced the carpets, they put in new wooden tables in the dinning area. Kids can roam the lodge (ping pong, fuseball, etc), parents can hike... More

The prices seemed so cheap compared to the other lodging we were worried it might be terrible, but we really enjoyed our stay. And included in the price you also get all of your meals included and activities! We were only planning to stay one night but liked it so much we canceled our stay at John Muir Lodge (which... More

My husband and I stayed here for couple of days at the end of September 2011. We were delighted with the service we received and with its convenient location. This lodge is located in Sequoia National Forest, between Grant Grove/Kings Canyon National Park and Giant Forest/Sequoia National Park. Our stay happened to be on a weekday so the place was... More

I stayed at the Montecito Lake Resort (formerly Montecito Sequoia Lodge) for four nights in mid-October and I had a great experience. This is unlike any place I've stayed before in that the price of a room includes three meals a day. And, if you plan to be away during the afternoon as I did, you can request to have... More
