The front desk people were so snooty, rude and uncaring. Forget about the bell service because all they had was carts in front of the lodge where we had to haul up to our room without any help. I couldnt ask questions. I couldnt complain about the room not being serviced the next morning. We didnt even get towels, or... More

My husband and I stayed here as part of our three week honeymoon in Sept 2011. The journey from San Fran to Sequoia was a nightmare. What ever you do do not use sat nav, invest in a good old fashioned map! However, even after an extra long journey, and having met some wonderful people along the way the national... More

Visited the Lodge after winter's first snow. They advertised they would have a snow concierge but none on the day we arrived. After arriving we were checked in and I told the front desk that I had a person with walking problems. They assured me that it was a small walk to the room. Well for an 80 year old... More

Wuksachi enjoys a monopoly, and it shows in every detail... Rooms not ready at check in (4pm). Front desk staff rude to the point of outright hostility. Bins full of dirty laundry blocking the entrance to our building when we finally were given our key. Housekeepers still going flat out at 4.30pm. A stinking recycling bin the size of a... More

Overall we had a nice stay at the Wuksachi lodge. Our room was modern, big bed, very clean, nice bathroom. The location was great, but we missed a few crucial details that were not mentioned at check in by the attendant. Firstly, we decided to order one of their famous lunch boxes for the next day. We thought it would... More

We enjoyed our stay in the lodge. We booked the Superior Room which was located in a different building that's 3-5 minutes from the Main Lodge reception area. The room provided wide picture windows that gives great views. Breakfast was included and good to start your day. Dinner was excellent! The attractions are within 10-15 minutes drive and parking was... More

We were there in early December, 2011. Snow still on the ground, but the roads were all open. Park and Lodge were practically empty; the staff informed us that most people don't show up until after Christmas, or right after a big snow. This gave the Lodge a (slight) "The Shining" feel, but it was nice to see only a... More

We spent one night at Wuksachi Lodge in June 2011. The setting was beautiful, with snow still on the ground, and deer visible as we drove in! The room was simple, but very clean, neat, and in good repair. It was also extremely quiet. Our room was a 100 yards, or better, distance from the Lodge Office and Restaurant, as... More

We spent two nights at Wuksachi Lodge in August 2011. This is virtually the only decent lodging option in Sequoia National Park. It is not the Ahwahnee. It is a big, multi-building motel. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable and well-equipped, but basic. It was a bit harrowing to find the lodge, as we drove in from the south entrance,... More

We spent two nights at the Wuksachi Lodge as part of a 2 week trip to California in August 2011. The lodge is a very basic motel with few services available. I knew this going in, so I was not surprised or disappointed ... but you need to be aware of this before booking. It is very dark in the... More
