We just spent 1 night here, which was perfect if you aren't doing any serious hiking into the Canyon. The hotel took us by surprise especially with a very non-descript name.. The rooms were very comfortable and accessible to restaurants. Also has quick access to Sun rise & Sun set view points.. This lodge is well located on the south rim. It is next door to the El Tovar lodge where "fine dining" can be enjoyed. Our room seemed to have been recently refurbished. This was a very clean and convenient hotel room. We looked at a room at the El Tovar and decided we got the better deal. We had no common rooms and no internet, but almost exactly the same room (actually, the bathroom is bigger at El Tovar). Not worth the extra $ in our opinion. We would stay here again... More
