6 months ago I decided to plan a trip to the Grand Canyon and completely stumbled upon the Bright Angel Lodge. A double room with no shower was all that was left to reserve even 6 months in advance! I will say we got extremely lucky with this reservation!! We got a room in the Powell Lodge building and it... More

We stayed here on the occasion of my wife's birthday, as part of our 3 week trip to USA. We stayed in one of the excellently-located cabins directly overlooking the rim, 20m away. Obviously the Grand Canyon is awesome (especially great at sunset & sunrise) but we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, which exceeded our admittedly cautious expectations. The... More

The Bright Angel Lodge was OK but I am not impressed with the group that run all of the accommodations in the Grand Canyon National Park called Xanterra. I had a very disappointing experience a while ago while staying in the Xanterra run lodge at Yellowstone National Park and I guess this clouded my judgement. The staff were friendly but... More

We stayed in one of the cabins at the front with a view of the Grand Canyon. The interior was a bit worn and rustic, but a good size, and overall very nice due to the fireplace. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and to our surprise the dining room, where we had dinner, was very good. Simple, unpretentious... More

You can easily forget the room, its furnishings, and amenities, simply because barely 50m from your front door, whichever room you have, is the most impressive view! the room wasnt luxury, and we barely slept in it as we got up at four to see sunset...however for position alone this place is great. there was a lot of work going... We stayed in the Powell Suite at the Bright Angel Lodge from May 1st -5th. It's actually a cabin and it's 6186. It has two queen beds and slept four of us. You could also put a 5th on the couch in the living room (it was totally comfy). Here is the scoop: You are in a cabin in the... More

It was our second stay in a cabin at Bright Angel. It is amazing to step out of the room and into the Grand Canyon. The rooms are quite simple but just fine. There is wifi in the lodge but not in the cabins. The parking is really convenient - even though it was really busy during spring break. The... More

We stayed in a cabin at Bright Angel Lodge in April before heading down to Phantom Ranch. The cabin was great. It was comfortable, historic, clean, plenty of space for two people, and a perfect location. We would definitely stay here again. There can be noise from the buses when the windows are open during the day, but it didn't... More

My husband and I stayed here in February, choosing a cabin with a partial view. The rooms are very rustic, but there was plenty of hot water and the heat worked very well, as it was freezing while we were there and actually snowed. Yes, we were there when the freak snowstorm covered the whole state of Arizona, including Tucson.... More
