There is not many options to stay near Grand canyon. You either stay directly in the Grand canyon Village, in nearby Tusayan or Williams. I personally prefer staying overnight in Williams, but this time had to stay closer to the park due to the trip plan and because we had a heli tour early morning. We took the Mini suite which is located in the annex to the main building. The room was nothing special.... more

I stayed here with my spouse in October of 2009 during a long weekend trip to the Grand Canyon. It was a pretty decent value for an average hotel at the Grand Canyon. There were no special restaurants, themes or deluxe amenities, but the value was good for an average hotel. Check in went well and the staff was efficient. They weren't the happiest people in the world, but certainly did their job without complaints... more

Typical Holiday Inn, clean and helpful staff at the desk. Great location - close to the park entrance. Breakfast is included and very good, but they need more room to sit. Looks adaquate, but is actually jammed when the hotel is full with people standing waiting for someone to vacate a table. You may just want to bring food back to your room. The food selection was actually quite good, though. Room were spacious enough... more

Travelled here with my son's family: two adults, four kids. The "kids' suite was perfect. There were televisions in the bedroom, the living room, and the kids' room. The bunk bed in the kids room was nice. The kitchen was complete -- refrigerator, stove, microwave. The hotel is a two minute drive from the Grand Canyon Park entrance. There is a large indoor pool. DRAWBACKS: the DVD player was jammed and they had no one... more

I have stayed in a few Holiday Inn Express hotels, they are cheap and I guess I should have known not to expect too much. Rooms are functional and basic - clean enough. At this one, noise is a problem if you are sensitive to this. Some hoteliers don't appreciate how poorly maintained ice machines, air con, laundry rooms and elevators are very noisy and can ruin a good night's sleep. There was some machine... more

OK, the staff was kind enought to put us in two rooms with refrigerator/microwave so we could heat up leftover Chinese from Sedona. Staff is efficient but not friendly. Location is the reason we chose this hotel and it was perfect for that. The room rate was high for a Holiday Inn Express, and for some reason the hotel decided to water down the coffee and oj for their free breakfast. Since the barely-average rooms... more

These hotel rooms did not seem to be the cleanest but they weren't bad considering how close they were to the Grand Canyon. I was surprised how many people stay much further away than this. We attempted to check-in early and were treated very rudely by a front-desk clerk who was annoyed that guests were making her work at the end of her shift. I did not appreciate the way she talked to me; however,... more

This is a busy hotel that is not spectacular in any sense, but overall clean and seems to have acceptable accomodations. Unless you are unfortunate enough to be issued room 260, or the rooms adjacent to it. We were tired from hiking on the rim when we checked in. As I filled a glass of water from the sink, it started to vibrate and walk toward the edge of the vanity! I ask my wife... more

Decent for the price. Close to the park. Quiet and clean. Basically good if all you're interested in is a place to park your self and just get to the Canyon more

We stayed in a presidential suite that came with 2 separate rooms. One had a queen size bed and the other with a king size bed. There's also a kitchen with a refrigerator and dining table. The living area has a pair of love seats. Overall, the room is nicely done. My only complain is that the room with the queen size bed does not have a AC in it. All rooms however have a... more
