This fabulous old rustic hotel has wonderful history as its pedigree. Set in one of the most beautiful mountain valleys in the world. Refurbishing has managed to retain the unique character. The exterior of the hotel and views are BEAUTIFUL. The rooms, at least in the area we stayed, were VERY out dated. For over $200 a night, I would expect a lot better. It is unbelievable to see places such as this nestled in the United States. I really don't know why anyone would leave the states because there are so many treasures. I was enchanted by this place. The main lounge area was beautifully decorated and quaint. I could sit and stare at the lake all day. I felt recharged and relaxed.

Staying in one of the balcony rooms overlooking the lake, you get the feel of how the privileged of generations past spent their vacations, arriving at the Park by the Great Norther Empire Builder and by an old red bus from the station.
