Our visit to Denali National Park was a venture of many years to visit and camp in most of the National Parks and 49 states. Riley Campground was our choice of campgrounds in Denali mainly for convenience. We planned the bus trip to Kantishna 92 miles into the park and had to catch the bus at the Wilderness Access Center... More

“Good Accomodations, A Little Uncomfortable”

We backpacked through Denali and stayed in two of their campgrounds: Riley Creek and Savage River. Both had decent bathrooms, fire pits, and areas to keep your food in. Riley Creek was next to the little convenience store (think 7-11), shuttle stops, and showers, but had this wierd area full of sharp rocks and gravel that you had to put... More
