I read these reviews before staying at the Denali's Crow's Nest, and thought, 'It doesn't look that bad. Some people like it. I'm not high maintanence, so I'll give it a try.' Huge mistake. Upon entering our room, I saw that the bathroom was extremely dirty. It had dark hairs all over the floor and hair and standing water in... more

Glad we found the Crows Nest. The hotel has a great location just outside the park entrance. Nice views of the park. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms were immaculate. The shuttle really made our stay easy. Glad we didn't pay big bucks at the corporate hotels nearby. more

We chose this property off the internet, after camping in Denali in the past. We are pretty casual when we travel with our young son, especially within Alaska. Well, this place is definitely casual! The cabins are located on a hillside, arranged in three tiers and connected by steep stairways rising from a narrow and sloping private roadway, one side... more

This place was terrible. The shower alternated between 5 seconds of burning hot water, then 5 seconds of freezing cold water, then 5 seconds of burning hot water (you get the idea). And, when I say burning, I mean BURNING. We were unable to shower the entire time we stayed there and we were hiking and stuff--we needed showers. It... more

Where do I start... You'll park on distant, dirt lot, you'll be carrying your luggage up a hill, down, and up several flights of stairs to a log cabin with sloping floors and creepy baths, and they only charged $180 per night. Right next door, Salmon Bake offers cabins starting at $84. Alaskatravel.com gave a hard pitch for this place... more

We were so glad we found the Crows Nest cabins that are so different from the other corporate motel 6 type hotels at the park entrance that cost twice as much. They seemed fitting for Alaska. Our cabin had great views of the park entrance and we loved the spa on the top terrace after our long bus ride in... more

If your looking for a Manhattan hotel stay, then this is not the place. You don't come to Alaska for the hotels anyway! The cabins are rustic with beautiful views. They are clean and the service is good. What the prior guest said about the front desk teenager is wrong. Of course he emitted the phrase he called her! You... more

We didn't want the corporate hotel/motel stay that the rest of the hotels nearby seemed to be and the price of the Crowsnest cabins was the best of all the hotels at the park entrance. This was just what we wanted... a cozy, clean log cabin with hotel comforts and great views. The staff was very helpful. Loved the hot... more

Read all of the other reviews; they don't overstate the many problems. We froze despite the extra blankets and the 2 small electric heaters cranked up as high as they would go. The noise of many feet on the wooden plank walkway and the vehicles running about 15 feet up from or cabin made sleep impossible. Tried to get quarters... more

The Crow's Nest is located literally on the side of Sugarloaf Mtn., so the view is fantastic. It is located within a few minutes of all the touristy stuff that goes along with Denali. The cabins were mostly clean, but not really comfortable. It's a cabin, they are not level, and lack insulation. You can hear everything! The parking is... more
