We stayed in a tent-only site (117) for four nights. We found the campground only average for several reasons: 1.) We reserved two months ahead, but site was taken on arrival. Hosts sympathetic but could not resolve; 2.) On last night next site neighbors up until 1:30AM. Hosts didn’t enforce curfew; 3.) Men’s restroom light was out for duration of... More

Perfectly adequate campground although there is some confusion over plot numbering at the moment (they have recently re-numbered), would be clearer if they numbered the fire pits and benches. Washrooms are very basic, no shower or soap available. You can purchase a token to use at the pool at the Ranch (15 minute walk) for $5 and this gives you... More

Taking into consideration that there are not vasts of alternatives for an overnight stay at Death Valley.the Furnace Creek Campground is for sure the best alternative if you would like some facilites. There are toilets, showers, washing facilities, pool, bar, restaurant, shop. Facilities were clean and o.k. At your RV camping spot you can have full hook ups. The spots... More

Perfectly flat, well maintained and you are next to the Visitor Center. You can walk over and get all the info you need. Also, there are plenty of RV, Tent, sites with bathrooms nearby and firepits. The place is quiet too, after 7pm generators are off. If you need any supplies, the Furnace Creek Ranch is less than a mile... More

This was our 5th camping visit to Death Valley (Furnace Creek). We stayed in this campground two weeks which is the limit for this particular campground, however you may stay up to 1 month in one of several other Park campgrounds. This year some of the sites have sewer and water hook-ups. Electricity is currently locked as the Government hasn't... More

We spent a few nights at this campsite in October and had a great time... it almost felt too easy. For just $5/person you can buy a pool/shower pass from the Furnace Creek Ranch next door. (The hot springs pool is lovely and the pool showers are completely adequate, just bring your own soap + shampoo). The ranch also has... More

We have been camping at Furnace Creek for more than 30 years. We feel it is the best, most centrally totally located in the Valley. The large tamarisk trees provide shade and some protection. Two years worth of construction were well worth the inconvenience. We make our reservations well in advance every year. We have thoroughly enjoyed the (now 93... More

This is a very busy campground. The restroom facilites are nice and clean. No showers available, but you can purchase a shower pass at the Furnace Creek Ranch next door and shower at the pool. The showers there are large and clean, but only two per restroom and there is no power outlet for blow drying etc. The camp spaces... More

Our family of four spent 2 nights at Furnace Creek Campground on Thanksgiving weekend. Furnace Creek Campground was the only one allowing reservations, which I had made in August. Good thing, too, because the campground was full and we were surprised at the number of people throughout the park. Furnace Creek Campground is fairly basic camping. It has flush toilets... More

We stayed at the Furnace Creek campground for three nights in mid-November in site 150 on the walk-in side. This site is fairly large and at the top of the loop, so you aren't sandwiched in with other campers. It doesn't have many trees, which was fine for our stay because it wasn't very windy. The biggest drawbacks to this... More
