My Mum planned and organised my hen night here on 31st Oct 09. The location is stunning and the staff were fantastic. Everything ran to clockwork and every angle was covered. I booked a superior room with the executive supplement and had foolishly expected a comfortable relaxing night. The room (224 in case you have the misfortune to get it) was dirty with cobwebs in the corners and with peeling wall paper. We were all quite stressed when leaving work on the Friday evening, but after taking a relaxing dip in the huge pool, the two jacuzzis, one inside and one out, the steam room and the sauna, we were well de-stressed and ready to go.! The staff went to the most extraordinary trouble to accommodate all the needs of our large party and to make us feel really welcome. The facilities are first class and the food and service excellent. The staff made us feel like friends from first acquaintance. more

We were looking for a reasonable B&B near Chester and spotted the Thornton Hall Hotel and Spa at a good deal of £70 for room only.
