A lovely little guesthouse and service not often found nowadays! My family stayed over and the owner invited us to breakfast the next morning so as to all be together. They genuinely couldn't have been lovelier!

A lovely B&B in a beautifully restored chapel and school house. The views from the terrace and gardens are wonderful - as is the breakfast. The nearby Black Swan Inn does great pub food and an excellent selection of real ales.

Fay and Simon made my stay here very enjoyable. I was in the area on business and stayed 2 night. I took Fay up on an evening meal which ended up being really pleasant as Simon and Fay are really interesting and we had some common interests and the stories Simon had from being a Camera man ref Olympics where fab. The room I stayed in was Good. As I travel quite a bit this is the type of place I like to stay in as at the end I am away from home and nice places and REALY nice people help to make it more tolerable. Thank you Fay and Simon, oh and the dog.

We stayed in this gorgeous B and B for a Weekend recently. The location was ideal, the rooms were very tastefully and comfortably designed. The hosts were charming. The character and charm of the B And B was above average. Breakfast was amazing, a true English feast! We would recommend this B and B, especially to overseas visitors as a great place to experience English hospitality, charm And history.. Location was good for many Derbyshire attractions via car. Thank you for a lovely weekend. Rosemarie, Norman and Geraldine

We stayed at Mount Tabor House as we were heading to Chatsworth RHS show. Absolutely lovely hosts and good location. Made us very welcome. Super Breakfast. Fay supplied us with a 'short-cut' map to Chatsworth. Hope to get back next year.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at Mount Tabor House and I love it. Fay, Simon and Molly (the dog) always give a friendly welcome and Molly will happily show you to your room! She also guides you to breakfast which is taken in the family dining room and Fay will ensure you have a fantastic breakfast spread. My stays here have been on business and I will continue to stay here for as long as I am welcome.

Stayed for 2 nights in this converted chapel and, despite the weather, had a marvellous time. Fay is an engaging hostess and Molly the dog, vey friendly. The room was magnificent with a warm, comfortable bed, wet room, coffee on tap and fabulous breakfasts. Definitely an B&B with character.

Very unique B+B in a converted chapel in the beautiful village of Crich. Fay is very friendly and helpful; Molly the Dachsund - Jack Russell cross is a real beauty. The bedroom is stylishly appointed with a huge comfy bed and virtual 100% blackout curtains & blinds...and lots of fresh air at night ....so no problems sleeping. Breakfast is a delightful experience supping fresh coffee, reading The Times and looking out from the balcony at Derbyshire's 'Tuscan Hills'! This is a great spot whether you are over-nighting on business or on holiday.

We took a birthday break in Derbyshire, in the midst of driving rain & floods, but on our main full day the sun came out, & was matched the warmth of Mt Tabor! Fay & Tim were superb hosts & their dog Molly really took to us, & vice versa - very keen to take us on a tour of the house. One reviewer didn't care for Molly but everyone else seems to be like us & regard her as a star attraction. It is a stunning building conversion - the main room where you have meals is quite delightful, with its stained glass church windows & space. A pity it could not be adapted to a guests' lounge in the evenings, but we appreciate that this is also a family home. Fay could not have done more for us - a warm welcome, lots of advice about the local attractions & roads, & she cooked a splendid meal for our first night, as well as providing everything you could want for breakfast. Our guide book had praised her cooking & we heartily endorse this. With the weather, the bedroom was cool, but the bed was warm & comfortable & the bathroom definitely gets a star Parking can be limited, but for us there was no trouble finding a space there, or just outside on the street. For my birthday, Fay recommended Stones in Matlock & this is quite outstanding. A difficult choice, Mt Tabor or Stones? We were quite fortunate to come across a B&B with such personality for our Derbyshire break.

We were looking to get away and walk in the Peaks for a couple of days. The Chapel conversion is stunning. We arrive to a very warm welcome from our hosts. The bedroom was good with an excellent 7 foot bed. Breakfast was more than adequate and so tasty set in the upstairs part of the house surrounded by views ans stained glass windows, Nearby the Black Swan pub provided a warm welcome with basic honest food and a good selection of real beers. Highly recommended and near to so many walks and sights Dave and Rita
