stopped off here on the way back from Dublin today and felt obliged to rave about the place. I've passed this place about a hundred times and finally had Sunday lunch today. WOW. Very reasonably priced with massive portions and superb service. Excellent value. More

We stopped off on way home from trip to Dublin, with our three small tired and VERY cranky children. I qued for carvery while husband sat with the children, boy were they making some racket. A lovely man, not sure if he was owner or manager, landed over immediately with colouring pages and pencils and chatted away to the children... More

Good food (steak and a beer for 15euro) and the staff were very freindly and efficient. Well worth a stop. Tip*Ask for a room away from the main road. More

Very easily accessible and lovely accomodations. No elevators, so pack light! We had a very nice room with plenty of space to move around. Breakfast was very good but you must specify with your reservation whether or not you want it included with your room. The neighboring town is adorable and has plenty of food options available. Just a short... More

We stopped on way back to Dun Laorghaire harbour and were pleasantly surprised. Great value dinner; attentive staff; convenient location - only a few miles from motorway; town was easy walking distance. Would recommend to others travelling through ireland. More

Stayed for one night to attend a friends wedding and must say the hotel has a lot going for it. The decor of the bar, terraced garden, function room is lovely throughout, the staff especially the bar staff, are excellent and we were very well looked after, (and for you critics out there i was not drinking so this is... When we arrived, I thought the hotel looked old fashioned and a bit grim. Our room was fine; comfortable beds and everything we needed was provided. We had booked a weekend special which included dinner, but this seemed to only include the main course. Although, to be fair, the main course was huge and I doubt if we could have... More

Our room was nice and clean, and check in was easy. Our dinner, however, was pretty terrible, as was the bar service. They didn't have any cider (Strongbow, Bulmer's) available, nor did they know how to make a martini! Very strange for a bar. We stuck to the continental breakfast the next day. Lesson learned- If a restaurant claims to... More

Got a great deal online - €45 per night - so wasn't expecting much but was really pleasantly surprised. Super friendly check in, nice atmosphere in the lounges and bar and a good sized room that was spotlessly clean. I've spent a LOT more on a LOT worse. Great value. More
