We only stayed two nights but would happily have stayed longer if we could. The room was spacious and the kitchenette well equipped. We walked 600 m to the train rather than taking the car into Wellington. The room was spotless and the proprietors extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Excellent motel to stay at. About a 5 minute walk from the Petone Train station where it is three stops into the main Wellington station. The Settlers Motor Lodge is located in an industrial suburb of Wellington. Presumably its location is suitable for commercial travellers, but not for tourists wishing to visit Wellington. The staff is friendly, but the place is rather run-down, moldi showers and worn paint everywhere. Not a place I would recommend.
