This is THE PLACE if you want to unwind for the weekend. I have been there 4 times already and have taken the tree house and camp site. That is like my spot. The food is good and trust me the breakfast is awesome!! the property is so calm you will feel as if you are close to the nature. And in the morning you will definitely see deer with the majestic mountains in the background!!

Enter into a whole wild experience with amazing food, stay and wildlife experience. Affordable, clean and hygienic accommodation. A scrumptious buffet breakfast to begin your day with, great walks, hikes across the forest, some serious nature therapy and do ask for a barbecue in the evening! Bliss! Good for solo, group, couple, family outing . Highly recommended. friendly staff

Stay is good, location is very good, food was pathetic. The quality of food is absolutely poor and no one to control. I stayed here two years back too, Rex was really helpful. Didn't find him there this time.

We stayed two nights on Christmas Eve. They had Christmas dinner and some fireworks. Dinner was good. Fireworks were not impressive. Bonfire in night was nice. Stayed in tent one day and deluxe room one day. Both were comfortable. Beds in deluxe rooms were very high. Difficult to sit and climb over them. Deers were coming inside resort which was fun for kids.

Location of the property is very quiet. Rooms are not so great. Average quality wash rooms. Food was also not so great. Good place to relax and rest. A quiet natural ambience. Staffs are very less to provide any room service.

We went with friends and stayed just beneath of Bear Mountain during mid of August 2017, perfect place to stay in a Jungle with family & friends , night campfire arranged 3 to 4 places based on the crowd, evening snacks to be ordered during campfire. Food was tasty with decent options. Room was having decent beds , not luxury kind of , this is more than sufficient to stay in a Jungle. Deer comes inside the resort , pleasant to watch and even Elephants sometimes during night. You will have to come out for Safari and others , road connectivity is not a problem.

We visited this place during Mid August, 2017. Stayed there for two days opted for 1 night in tent cum tree house and one night at cottage room. We were families of two with two small kids. Resort is well connected by road. we reached at 2 PM but had to wait for check-in for 1 hour. So, I must say it was not very pleasant arrival ( Considering I self drove from Bangalore ). Anyway, we had our lunch and got into our tents by 3.30 PM. Tent cum tree house are built on platform with two floors. if you happen to get lower floor, you can't have silent stay (even if a spoon falls on upper floor it makes noise) bathrooms are on the ground floor, so each time you have to take stairs to come down. A basic washbasin on each floor (which can easy be fixed) was expected. There are couple of more tree houses around and if your neighbors are noisy then forget about sleep (we didn't sleep whole night). The charges of tree houses are just few hundred lower than cottages so IMO, it's not worth paying. Next day we shifted to cottage room (we had to wait again to get rooms).Rooms were good with attached bathroom. There were iron cots in the room. Beds were comfortable but height was pretty high. Food was good but with limited options though we liked the taste. Specially, breakfast was pretty satisfactory. Location is scenic. Early in the morning, we saw many deer in the compound which probably came from jungle which is just next to the property. Staffs told us that even wild elephants come sometimes (though we were not lucky to find one). Staffs arranged bonfire in the evening and snacks too (of course, extra charges for snacks). In short- Please read the title of this review again!!

A group of bikers visited Bear Mountain Jungle Resort on 6th May 2017, a hot climate during the day turned breezy evening. Checked-in at lunch in their Deluxe Rooms with four beds which had clean restrooms, running hot-water, no-television, one fan (no AC), large windows without grill but a door, ground-floor close to the fence where elephants visit more frequently, had a tree swing in the veranda, breezy evenings well spent around the neatly arranged with camp-fire for many individual groups. Very friendly staff Ramachandran(Senior, Restaurant guy), Senthil (Front Office guy), Lalu (surprisingly Tamil speaking Bengali guy - property supervisor, with his cute daughter). Should give them a thumbs up for their food arrangements, I'm still in love with their Chicken Gravy served for lunch with chapathi and rice - simply awesome. High Tea and Biscuits find you right in your hands where-ever you are inside the resort campus - can anyone beat that?... Has a cricket ground, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball play area. Really in the midst of jungle, this property is the last property in the foothills after Bokapuram - Masinagudi. Deer's in groups are found at many times inside and around the resort, very frequent Elephant visits inside the property, not so famous for Tigers I believe. Property has Deluxe rooms, camps, cottages, and rooftop coconut leaf huts with camping inside. Our group had our real getaway, the next day we arranged our own off-road safari, which was super fun. This property also can find you a good safari option, they don't provide one. In the night you can feel the wildness, sounds of the crickets and other insects so clearly, many birds and their whistling all day. We were told not to venture out of the campus in the dark. However the campus itself gives thrill in the night. Value for money, great experience, nicely managed property, well mannered staff members. Thanks to the property owner David. I am visiting this property again for sure.
