June 2011 4 night stay with wife. Overall: I highly recommend this hotel, clean, modern, very comfortable and quiet! An excellent retreat for a holiday and or weekend break. Hotel is "tailored" for young to mature couples without children. (This doesn´t mean that children are not permitted though because they are) Hotel Service is personalised & professional. Breakfast is deliciously... More

Situated on the edge of a small village in the Natural Park - only downside is the steep walk back up from the village/beach - (I was 5 months pg when we stayed, and have to admit I puffed a little bit!). Well appointed comfy rooms, with balconies over looking the sea and huge bathrooms with jacuzzi baths. Highlight has... More

Every year we spend a weekend at a hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The rule is that it has to be somewhere that we could not generally afford to stay for a week, so we get a little bit of luxury for our special day. This was certainly true at Hotel El Tio Kiko! The room was fab, huge... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of September. Everything about this place is amazing - it has a sign saying its a 3-star property, but it should by far and away be 5-star! Our room was spacious and luxurious - king sized bed with high quality linens, comfy loungechairs and classy furniture - and... More

Our one week stay was a really nice experience. Both the hotel, town, beach and surroundings are beautiful and worth a visit. Positive points - Sea/town view - Beautiful room and bathroom, both clean and up to date - Huge spa bath tub - Breakfast is served until 11:30 and is delicious. - Free Wi-Fi internet connection - Beach is... The hotel as such is very nice, apart from some minor inconvienences: tv very small (33 cm) and "turbulance", no fridge in the room, many steps to walk. All around the hotel there is cuurently building activity, but not very disturbing. Agua Amarga itself is 50 years back in the time machine, but with 2050 prices: only two restaurants at... More

We stayed here in September 2007 as part of our honeymoon. The rooms are gorgeous - the biggest bed I think i have every stayed in - lovely bathroom with spa bath and nice smelly stuff. And the touches are really nice, like fruit in your room, and your sheets turned back with a chocolate in the evenings. The staff... More

What a find This hotel is simply wonderful. It's on a small hill, 15 mins walk from the charming village of Agua Amarga, and the long sandy beach The staff are really friendly, and sorted a mix up with the booking quickly and efficiently. Relax by the beautiful pool area, and they bring you little iced mojito cocktails for free... More

We stayed here in March and would go back in an instant. We stayed in one of the suites. The furnishings were lovely, the room spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful view from the balcony as well as from the room - huge windows. The breakfasts were fabulous, and we ate at the restaurant 3 of 4 evenings. Also highly... More
