My partner and I opted to stay at Sapana village due to the community projects it supports and we are always looking for ways to give back to the locals rather than stay in some sprawling hotel chain. It is by far the best location in the Chitwan area, down a quiet side road, built over the river with uninterrupted... More

My friend and I stayed at Sapana Village near Chitwan National Park in April and would love to recommend it to everyone. The rooms were great, like treehouses set in the beautiful gardens. Naran and his co workers were attentive to our every need and in a very friendly way. The setting is lovely and the restaurant had good cheap... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Sapana Village lodge after several days trekking. Many wildlife viewing (and other) activities are offered both in and outside of Chitwan National Park. As a birder, wildlife enthusiast and college environmental science instructor, I was very impressed with our guide Mukundu. He led us on a day long jeep safari, a... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great place to really relax and unwind as well as see lots of wildlife. Everything is very relaxed and casual and the staff are super friendly and the activities are great and it was easy to pick and choose which outings you wanted to do. The rooms are large and clean... great rooms, nice restaurant (too spicy for my taste, but great included breakfasts),and a good selection of activities with knowledgeable hotel guide (note that prices are plus 13% vat which can add a lot if you spend as much as we did).jeep safaris are good for seeing a wide variety of wildlife (though this can/did vary each day),as was full day canoe... Our family of 4 adults loved staying at Sapana. We found the property to be spacious, beautiful and natural with the landscape next to a river and village near by. The staff were helpful and looked after any need. The rooms were perfect and nicely decorated with mural paintings on the walls and porches for relaxing. Main restaurant served delicous... More

Two nights here was awesome. Room and balcony beautifully decorated. The place is split into different buildings next to a river and it's got a great feel. Elephants sleep next door too! Food was brilliant, safari guides spoke perfect English and everyone was friendly. It is all supporting the local tharu people and it is a great way of helping... More

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. Although it was a bit difficult communicating through e-mails, once there, the staff was extremely helpful. The lodge itself and the rooms were tastefully decorated. Nothing too fancy, but we could see that they had paid attention to details (i.e. cute drawings in the rooms). The rooms were very clean. It was also... More

I visited Sapana Village Lodge with friends for a long weekend. We wanted a quiet, secluded spot to relax and enjoy Chitwan. Sapana's staff was courteous, efficient, and ready to help. The rooms are clean, fresh, and well-decorated. The food and drinks at the restaurant are worth staying in for. In addition to being a well-run operation, Sapana's business model... More
